Prevention & Screening

Stay Ahead of Your Health

At Modern Women’s Care, we believe prevention is the most powerful form of medicine. Regular screenings and wellness visits give us the opportunity to detect health issues early—often before symptoms appear— when they’re most treatable. Whether you’re in adolescence or menopausal, we offer personalized, age-appropriate screening to support your long-term wellness.

What We Screen For

Cervical Cancer

Cervical cancer screening, including pap smears, testing for Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) or both, is generally recommended for women ages 21-65 with the goal being to detect abnormal cells in the cervix before they develop into cancer.

How often you should have cervical cancer screening, and which test you should have, depend on your age and health history.

Breast Health

  • Clinical breast exams at annual visits
  • Mammograms beginning at age 40 (or earlier for high-risk women)
  • Breast self-exam education and awareness

Pelvic & Sexual Health

  • Irregular periods, heavy bleeding, painful cycles
  • PMS/PMDD
  • PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome)
  • Endometriosis and fibroids
  • Hormone balancing and functional medicine testing

    • Lifestyle and supplement guidance for bone strength

    Heart Health & Metabolic Screening

    • Lifestyle counseling for weight, exercise, and nutrition
