Beatris Martinez, BSN, NP, WHNP-BC
Beatris Martinez, BSN, NP, WHNP-BC is an experienced Nurse Practitioner in women’s health care, serving the community she was born and raised in, the South Bay area. Her qualifications include a BSN from the University of Texas at Arlington and the National Certification Corporation (NCC). She graduated from Los Angeles Harbor College in 1992 and started her nursing career.
She has 32 years of experience in nursing, including 24 years of specialization in Labor and Delivery. During her nursing career she continued to forge her passion for women’s health by completing the Women’s Health Care Nurse Practitioner program at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. While building her career, she experienced moments in her life that were challenging such as balancing her family, being a single parent and juggling the demands from school. As a result of these challenges, she realized the importance of her mental health, and realized it was essential to make time for family, travel, and enjoy great food to help stay focused.
Her career continued to flourish by joining Modern Women’s Care in 2016. Becoming a part of Modern Women’s Care expanded her love for her career by enabling her to take pride in educating women about their bodies through their lifespan from adolescence to menopause. Her challenges and life experiences provide her with a genuine understanding of what patients encounter and helps her build a trusting patient-provider relationship.
